Firewall Robusto™ as seen through the lens of prior art Firewalls
Dear esteemed clients,
Several have asked about the new Firewall Robusto™ DIY current conditioner, soon to be launched, and how it fits in to our existing portfolio. In response, here is a brief overview of our Firewall product family, and how the Firewall Robusto™ fits in.
Firewall 640x family of products
Beginning with our Firewall 640x Plug-and-Play current conditioner for power lines, we released it in this ready-to-use format:
What's inside
Inside the hardwood enclosure is this Firewall 640x module:
We made the above pictured module available to the DIY community for self-installation into your own power conditioning projects. Several have made great use of this module, including many original equipment manufacturers who integrate this Firewall 640x module straight into their own devices.
Later we adapted this technology and released it as the Firewall for Loudspeakers Plug-and-Play current conditioner:
Soon thereafter, we made it available as a DIY module under the same name, Firewall for Loudspeakers, DIY version for self-installation, even though the modules can just as well be used on low level signals and even power applications:
These modules are used in many loudspeakers and other audio equipment throughout the world today. They turn a basic loudspeaker into one performing on a level often twice the price. Many awards have been garnered by the Firewall for Loudspeakers for their sublime, even unbelievable performance enhancement.
Knowing very well that the Firewalls can be chained in series to yet further enhance their performance, we came out with two extended versions of the same Firewall for Loudspeakers above, namely the Firewall for Loudspeakers, dual version:
And the Firewall for Loudspeakers, quad version:
These last two were quite pricey, with the quad version coming in at a full 3200 USD for a set of four.
Though adopted by some of the most passionate manufacturers and DIYers, we knew that the price was becoming a prohibitive factor to most, so we got to work over the last 5 years seriously investigating further refinements to the technology while keeping accessible cost an absolute must. After many failures to out-do the quad, we finally make a major breakthrough with our pending DIY product, Firewall Robusto™, which you'll see announced here quite soon. Here is a prototype image:
Firewall Robusto™ is substantially larger than our prior Firewall for Loudspeakers DIY products, though shorter than the longer ones. It weighs substantially more than all of them. As such, it cannot be used in dangling product such as our Firewall 640x Plug-and-Play units. It is intended for use in equipment which sits on a shelf or on the floor, like a power distributor or other standing component.
Performance wise, Firewall Robusto™ dwarfs even the quad version of the Firewall for Loudspeakers, and at only a fraction of the price. This is a real game-changer which opens the door to an entirely new level of audio performance for any DIY enthusiast. As you all know by now, we never release new product until we are absolutely sure it easily outperforms earlier art product. Such is the case with Firewall Robusto™.
The big question everyone wants to know the answer to
Does Firewall Robusto™ outperform even the Firewall 640x Stellar?
The Firewall 640x Stellar has an even more advanced Firewall onboard than our hardwood Firewall 640x Plug-and-Play products. As such, in our family of Plug-and-Play Firewalls, the Stellar most obviously remains the king of the hill. There's a list of features which give it this added performance:
(1) The more advanced Firewall 640x module onboard, not available as a DIY part.
(2) The solid resin potting of all internals including all internal contacts.
(3) The much higher conductivity of the C-MARC™ Stellar power cable umbilical.
(4) The 2x Entropic Process carried out on the C-MARC™ Stellar power cable umbilical's build.
(5) The exotic high pressure resin infused Kraft paper housing which outperforms even Panzerholz at resonance inhibition.
All this adds up to being a jaw-dropping superlative performer as far as Plug-and-Play product is concerned.
But for stand-alone products, such as power distributors and original equipment, Firewall Robusto™ clearly takes the cake and leaves all prior art Firewalls far behind.
There's no competition
This in no way means that a system set up with Firewall Robusto™ current conditioning no longer benefits from the Firewall 640x Stellar. On the contrary, the two fully complement and supplement one another, and the compounding results using both together simply fly off the charts into new territory.
Both are solid products, both represent our very best, and both are sure to elevate the listening experience to entirely new levels.
Our goal is to always outperform ourselves, while keeping accessibility high on our mind. Firewall Robusto™ absolutely nails both, triumphantly!
