C-MARC Classic loudspeaker cable, stereo pair

Date Added: 02/01/2019 by Vincent
I have just received jumpers for my Verity Audio Parsifal speakers. The jumpers are made from the C-MARC hook-up wire (the bigger type) and terminated with spades.
My current jumpers were made with neotech upocc 16 AWG bulk cable, no termination, no particular shield, the copper is mono strand insulated in teflon.
Compared to these jumpers, the LessLoss C-MARC improves the quietness of the music presentation. I have the same level of detail, same openness of the sound, same image but with a more relaxed sound, which allows me to increase the sound volume without any harshness. I was quite surprised that only a couple of centimeters of wire at the end of the chain could make such a noticeable difference.
It seems that I have a more or less polluted environment to which the C-MARC cables manage to be immune.

Bravo LessLoss for the C-MARC design!

C-MARC bulk wire and cable

Date Added: 02/20/2019 by Johnathan Popan
After hooking up my speakers with the C-MARC large hookup wire and seeing the incredible results, I decided to purchase triaxial cables to replace the better cables silver serpent XLRs for my 3 speakers and subwoofer and Louis was really helpful in that he e-mailed me with instructions about how to tin and assemble the XLR cables. He also informed me about which exact Neutrik ends Lessloss uses and sent me completely drilled chucks(which was very helpful) due to the fact that the triaxial cables are so thick. It most certainly wasn't easy or quick to complete the process but once the process was complete I connected the C-MARC XLR cables from my emotiva xmc-1 processor to the benchmark AHB-2 amps and SVS SB16 Ultra.

My impression of the cables is that it didn't have the same impact as the large hookup wire although the results were most certainly still impressive without a doubt. As a lot of people were saying, the noise floor went considerably lower and the SNR went quite a bit higher to the point that there was definitely the black background effect. The sound stage also improved in that it was wider, deeper and much less noise between the various sounds leading to more delineated sounds in the sound stage and there was definitely more bass. One thing I'll definitely note is that games and movies sound a lot more atmospheric and much more engaging. As I continued to add the XLR cables on top of the large hookup wire I noticed that the music did continue to become even more transparent and organic.

One thing I did discover while listening to the C-MARC XLR cables is that C-MARC in general doesn't just reveal the resolution that was always there, but it reveals the color that was always there and when I say this I absolutely don't mean that it colors the sound. I discovered that the sound itself has its own natural color or timbre/tone(however you want to call it) and C-MARC reveals it exactly how it is.

When watching movies or playing games, I noticed that this already awesome subwoofer does an even better job at disappearing in the sound stage, blends in even better with the speakers, is more accurate, more organic and definitely adds a very nice atmosphere to the movie or game. I very highly recommend C-MARC.

C-MARC Classic Power Cable; C-MARC XLR balanced signal cable, stereo pair

Date Added: 02/20/2019 by Denis Godart
I used a C-MARC power cable on my preamp and a 2nd one on my DAC. The C-MARC power cables are very neutral and drastically reduce background noise, revealing harmonic nuances, soundscapes, micro-details, smooth listening, spacial info and locality of the instrumentalists; they allow you to get the most out of your electronics; at home these were better than Triode Wire Labs The Statement; then, tweaking the interconnects was made easier.

Acquiring an XLR C-MARC interconnect stereo pair, I'd add this feedback: it is in the same vein with the same qualities, even if the difference is less of a surprise compared to the change of power cables.

Upon initial connection, not burned in, directly out of the box, I'd say these are a little above the Absolute Creations Ul-tim, which are three times more expensive, and also better than Audioprana Signature Ag Cryo (with Ag connectors).

If your system is resolving and balanced, go for LessLoss. If you want to compensate for this or that defect in balance, look elsewhere for cables that add sonically and are much more expensive...

Enjoy!

C-MARC bulk wire and cable

Date Added: 03/04/2019 by Andor Kovács
I read a lot about the LessLoss C-MARC cables, because I found them so interesting. Earlier I was thinking to buy new loudspeakers, but it would get into serious costs to improve them. So I decided to change the internal cables of my Usher Mini Dancer Two loudspeakers to C-MARC bulk hook-up cables.

Louis recommended the small size bulk cables for the tweeters and large size for the woofers.
He suggested LessLoss can prepare the lengths and ends for me in professional quality, and I chose this option.
LessLoss sent me the ready prepared cables the very next day! And we have already made the internal wiring switch.

The positive traits showed themselves already from the very beginning!

After 30 hours burn-in time here is my experiences:

My speakers reached an untold level of performance, totally transparent in sound quality, with a much lower noise floor.
I'm hearing more pure tone, clearer extension of bass and highs. The focus is much better. Besides better bass control, the mid frequencies are also more liquid and smooth. The sound stage is wider, deeper and there is much less noise between the various sounds leading to a more delineated sound in the sound stage and there is definitely more bass. The resolution is much higher and many veils are lifted.

I feel the burn-in time will continue for a long time. The natural tone quality lets me listen for hours and hours without hearing any sonic traits of the cables.

In summary:

I highly recommend the LessLoss C-MARC bulk hook-up wire for your internal cables for those who want to get the most out of their system!

C-MARC Classic Power Cable

Date Added: 03/20/2019 by Finn Mölmen, Norway
Just in time for Christmas 2018 I received four LessLoss C-Marc power cables. I used four DFPC's for trade-in, making the investment a treat. I introduced the C-Marc's one at a time in my set-up, exchanging the DFPC's successively, starting with my tube power amp. Immediately I experienced more snap, more weight in bass, better resolution upwards. After an hour or so, something peculiar started happening to the sound; there emerged a quality of flowing, liquid, organic sound that made the music much more appealing, more natural, more like music. This was intriguing, because my setup is rather mature, and I have done my fair bit in power management, using good power and signal cables for quite some time. My first DFPC was nearly ten years old when traded in.
There was no stopping me now: C-marc to the pre-amp, hmm, not easy to detect any immediate changes here, but burn-in must take its time. However, with my Chinook phono-amp improvement was evident rather quickly, yielding more space, more lifelike presence of instruments and voices. Finally, my DAC was favoured with C-Marc power, resulting in more weight, more presence and articulation in the lower midrange, giving pondus to the presentation.
However, I must admit that an objective assessment of the C-Marc power cables has been difficult to carry out, due to the fact that they were implemented in my setup only one month after I received my pair of brand new PMC IB2 SE speakers. Thus I have been witnessing a double burn-in process. The speakers are developing to every satisfaction, and the sound in my listening room are now very lifelike, revealing yet balanced and musical, with realistic dynamics, extremely nuanced and detailed, unerringly placing instruments and voices in three dimensions.
Power cables are among the components in a hifi setup that will perform for indefinite time. The C-Marc's will sit in my setup forever, or until Louis and LessLoss treat us with an even better cable. Over the last year I have experienced the C-Marc's in three different setups. This is a premium performer regardless of price, and at the present price point, the C-Marc power cable is a «no brainer» for anyone considering cables in this price range.
Lucky me, I will shortly be investing in the C-Marc loudspeaker cables for my PMC's now coming of age.

C-MARC XLR balanced signal cable, stereo pair

Date Added: 03/25/2019 by Johan Pettersen
For about one week now I have had two sets of C-MARC XLR cables for the dac - preamp - power amp signal chai. There is a "cable history" behind this:
Ten years ago I had first generation Nordost Tyr cables. I then purchased LessLoss Anchorwave XLRs, and found them to be better - more detailed, at the same time more musical. Couple of years later I bought some second hand Valhalla signal and speaker cables. Big expectations! But I soon found out I still preferred the Anchorwaves. The Valhallas had some more dynamics and details, but the at the same time a bit lean and clinical in a way, and I got listening fatigue. While the Anchorwave signal and speaker cables gave me hours after hours with music. I then got Tyr2 a couple of years ago - more musical than the Valhallas, some more details and dynamics than the Anchorwaves. I thought I would stick with them. But then last year I purchased the C-MARC digital cable (from streamer to dac), and after some critical listening sessions it was no doubt: In my system C-MARC digital cable sounds better than the Tyr2 digital cable - more open and dynamic, and at the same time full-bodied and organic.
So now a new turn: Tying out the C-MARC XLR cables for the analog part of the signal chain. Impression after about one week: Incredibly wide soundscape, very articulate and dynamic, combined with full-bodied impression of voices and instruments. Extraordinary listenable and musical.

Echo's End

Date Added: 04/03/2019 by Darel Dillingham in Chesterton, Indiana
I got my Echo's End Original Saturday and played CDs ALL DAY Sunday and I'm in total awe of how much better it sounds than my $5000.00 Berkeley Audio DAC.

Louis, your DAC is totally amazing and I'm finally at a point where my digital is extremely enjoyable to listen to. You never cease to amaze me with the quality of your products and how much better your technology is than most of the other high end offerings.

Thanks for your genius and time.

Firewall Module

The USB Firewall key outperformed the Audioquest Jitterbug, ifi audio's i-defender and i-silencer. Just one of these transformed my car audio to a new level. Using it with an iphone with Audioquest Carbon usb wire and listening to Tidal and lossless files reveals never before heard nuances of music. worth it!

Firewall Module

Date Added: 05/02/2019 by GERARD FRANCE
In September 2018 I upgraded 10 Firewall 1X units to 10 Firewall 64X (1 of which was placed on the power inlet to the entire system). Results were excellent. Then later I experimented with a new configuration: placing two Firewall 64X units on each power inlet for prepreamp and 2 mono amps. Results were substantially better. A really new summit of sound quality. Then I tried the same idea with two FW64X on CD transport and on the DAC. Result: the same performance that I previously got only from analog sources. But it is very interesting that the sound is now not only better but also different. For the first time in my long life of listening to music I now feel with this setup as much pleasure when I listen to CD as I do listening to analog on vinyl.

C-MARC RCA unbalanced signal cable, stereo pair

Date Added: 05/08/2019
The custom LessLoss C-MARC 1m DIN-RCA phono cable they made me is far superior to my Transparent and Purist Phono cables.

The Transparent cable is $3,000 retail and horribly noisy. I found out after purchase the Transparent is not well shielded and prone to pickup hum, huge problem in my system which I could never alleviate.

The Purist cable is $10,000 retail and better shielded but very dark and slow sounding.

In comparison the LessLoss cable is very quiet, alive sounding and creates a 3D soundscape versus Transparent and Purist’s 2D soundscapes... Basically, the LessLoss cable is *intensely* better than both in all aspects.

Thank you!
