Some behind-the-scenes images in preparation of our production run

To those who have pre-ordered the new Firewall module, we are very grateful. With your help we have managed to organize the largest production run in LessLoss history. When I say "organize," I mean we are running through all of the preparatory work, like programming the large CNC machine using small sample runs of just a few units. Scaling up will be yet another small challenge, but our partners are superb and no novices. They didn't just read the CNC manual when it was delivered. These guys actually DESIGNED and BUILT the thing from scratch. Watching them work is like watching an F-1 pit crew release their team's car after some quick adjustments and servicing. Pure pleasure, even when under pressure!

Please keep in mind that we are still accepting early bird pre-orders for our all-new antique oakwood Firewall modules. You can always write me for more information. I'm accepting your orders via email and will continue to do so until we ship.

Lead time

Currently, the first big thing which will happen will be delivery of our oakwood slabs to the CNC guys. This is scheduled for "sometime this week." At that point they will immediately begin the large production milling process, and, we hope, the vacuum system will be RUNNING. ;) Next week we should receive many enclosures, which will be first sanded down and inspected, after which we will be applying the protective impregnation oil. During that week we will be preparing all the wires to length and getting all the Oyaide connectors modified. We have already received a few 'bulk' boxes of them from Japan, but we bought out their whole stock, so more should be coming in a week or two. The Firewall modules themselves are to reach Lithuanian soil some time Oct. 30th to Nov. 02. We have two in-house procedures which we must still carry out with them before they are ready for the terminals or insertion into the wooden enclosures. At that time we will be busy packing for shipment to you!

Meanwhile, today we were engaged in perfecting the milling strategy on a couple of units (one of which was ruined in the process).

Enjoy these moments from today!
