Oversampling? Upsampling? Synchronous? Asynchronous? Master? Slave? These are terms which are often misunderstood. They are also often substituted for marketing catchwords. Our aim is to provide a clear and differentiated explanation of these concepts, so that you may fully understand the potential of the LessLoss DAC 2004.

Here we present you with six digital setups. Each of these setups uses the same converter chip, the PCM 1704. In these simple schematics, you can see what possibilities engineers have to overcome Jitter before audio conversion at the converter chip. Every incoming S/PDIF signal is Jittered.
