Firewall Module; C-MARC Stellar Power Cable

"Stellar" is the right name!

I received a few days ago another Stellar power cord (replacing a C-MARC Entropic) and another C-MARC Firewall 640x filter.

I already have another Stellar power cord for my amplifier.

These products are now powering my DAC stack (Totaldac D1 direct, Reclocker and D1 drive). The result is again mind, I should write, "musical blowing". This cable brings more silence, more flow to the music, reveals very detailed shade and nuances ... all that makes the music so very lifelike and enjoyable ... The result is so much musical pleasure.

I have many LessLoss products and they all work in harmony to provide more natural music. There is so much hidden music in our files and records which are now revealed.

Firewall Module

In the past, I had equipped my stereo system with the BlackGround 10x Power Base and experienced a remarkable leap ahead in quality of the reproduced music,
particularly in terms of transparency and clarity. Then, following the advice of Louis Motek, I inserted Stellar Firewall Modules on my loudspeakers.

Although I have always been, by instinct, reluctant to insert any additional device on a signal line, I can state that, after a run-in period of about 180 hours, the Stellar modules did not penalize any aspect of the reproduction of music of my stereo.

But it was after about 300 hours of playing music that the remarkable benefits of the Stellar firewall modules showed in full.

The modules bring noticeable improvements on clarity of highs, especially for the most challenging recorded tracks of complex music.

I can now listen to lower pitched notes that are well articulated and neatly reproduced.

The musical scene enjoyed an increase in both accuracy and stability in space.

The quality of tonality, so much advertised by the manufacturer of my DAC, is now as simple as impressively right.

The purity of some feminine voices that were sometimes not reproduced at the same usual high level by my stereo, are now stable in time and rendered with much more subtleties than in the past.

Just received my C-MARC XLR interlinks, I ordered two sets, used them from dac to my preamp and from preamp to my power amp. There was an instant improvement, great resolution, more space, more natural and I keep hearing new details I did not notice before! Truly remarkable real high end cables.

Can't stop listening _ great purchase :)

C-MARC Stellar Power Cable; BlackGround 6x/10x Power Base

During the last few years, I have been using a LessLoss distributor with all connections made with C-MARC “Entropic Process” cables.

Both signal and loudspeaker cables in my stereo system are also with C-MARC “Entropic Process”. I have been greatly enjoying listening to music with such a set-up.

I recently purchased a BlackGround 10x Power Base, and upgraded the connection to the wall socket of the distributor with a C-MARC Stellar power cable. I also used a Stellar power cable to connect the BlackGround Power Base to the distributor.

In few days, the reproduction of sound has acquired an astonishing transparency that personally I had never experienced before. It is what I imagined being the exclusivity of stereo systems much more expensive than mine.

It is now much easier to follow the playing of several instruments and to appreciate sound that before appeared as being only in the background and behind a veil. I can now detect much more easily the differences between several versions of the album that previously appeared just as nuances.

For instance, last year I borrowed the UHQR vinyl of “Kind of Blue” and after listening to it, I concluded that it sounded just “a bit” better, but it was not worth the price. With the new set-up, I listened to that vinyl again and, thanks to the so much improved transparency, I realized that it sounds so good and I decided to keep the UHQR vinyl.

Encouraged by the successful experience with Stellar cables, I decided to finally replace the original quality power cords of the two PSUs of my DAC, also with 2 Stellar cables.

This last investment was also worthwhile. The sound of the DAC is now by far more comparable to that of an analogue source:

C-MARC bulk wire and cable

I'd like to offer you a little feedback on your C-MARC™ cables.

We have used your cables in many applications and configurations. The results have always been excellent.

LessLoss cables are pleasant to work with, and the cotton insulation doesn't melt, unlike plastic. This has enabled us to work at higher temperatures with high silver content alloyed solder.

These cables are very pleasant to listen to. The noise reduction is remarkable. Definition is also excellent. The entire frequency range is faithfully reproduced.
These cables are really excellent products.

We will be integrating your cables into our new products.

C-MARC Stellar Power Cable

I have done a couple of listening sessions with this new power cord (replacing a C-MARC Classic Entropic) on the power supply feeding my Totaldac D1 DAC and Reclocker. The Stellar has run only 6 hours and the result are already very good.

This afternoon I went back to the Entropic to check… and ensure my ears are not lying to me. The progress bringing in musicality by the Stellar is quite significant; I did not expect that much more improvement.

What I do hear is more body in the music, a nicer and more detailed top end, a more articulate bottom, and overall a better top to bottom balance. All that gives more life to the music!

You are right: attention to the power side of our equipment is absolutely critical.

Blackbody

Initial impressions of the Blackbodies with DIY Blackgrounds reminds me of being at my favorite place to chill in the beautiful Maryland countryside which happens to be the gorgeous horse farm where I live. Imagine that it's a partly cloudy day, but as soon as the Sun emerges from behind a cloud, EVERYTHING POPS! You now feel more present and emotionally connected to your environment as a flood of color & detail washes over you. And that's a very good thing!

Firewall Module

Again a wonderful upgrade, this time the Firewall for Loudspeakers Stellar version.

Since 2019, I have the first version of the Firewalls for Loudspeakers with some upgrades to daisy chain on other loudspeakers with separated crossovers. Feel free to check the reviews from that time. I was very excited and up to just 3 weeks ago very happy with them.

Since 3 weeks now, I have the Stellar version in my system and am very happy and astonished of this improvement. Just switched back to to the “old” one, to check whether I was not remembering falsely. And yes, it was correct:

Just as always, everything is better, more natural and realistic, like:
- Stage wider in all directions
- Instruments and voices are better separated
- Background more silent then ever
- Attacks improved
- Bass have more structure
- Loudspeakers disappear … probably best what can be
- Better decryption of lyrics
…

Today, the “old” non Stellar are going back to LessLoss. Such a great way to upgrade with a good price and no worries about selling the old ones.

BlackGround voltage-ground interface; Blackbody

This review is for both the BlackGround and Blackbody v2. I'm not going to re-state what has already been said. What I will say, is that I have recently become addicted to LessLoss products. After reading forums discussing what these devices have done for others systems, I pulled the trigger and bought one Blackbody. I hooked it up as soon as I pulled it out of its UPS package. It provided a noticeable upgrade in SQ. Since then I've added one more BB and two Blackgrounds. I just received my second BG yesterday. The improvements in SQ have me glued to my seat and shaking my head. The music sounds so good with anything I play. I stream Qobuz through Roon and it's like every track has been remastered to some super high resolution method yet unknown to mankind. My system consists of ethernet coming off my Orbi router with a Furutech cable to a FMC converter to optical, then Melco ethernet cable to a Sonnet Hermes streamer to a Sonnet Pasithia DAC via Melco cable. From there I run Jena Labs Pathfinder cables to a Whammerdyne hybrid amp driving Lii Audio Platinum 10's with a pair of REL G2 subs. I feed everything with DIY Furutech PC's using their DSP 4.1 cable and NCF connectors. I use 10ga Duelund wire. Prior to having these 4 LL there were certain songs I could play at higher volumes because they are recorded so well they simply deserve it. I tend to pick out an artist and hit play on the artist Radio Station so I can enjoy some variety. When doing this, most songs I can leave the volume up, and certain songs I have to tun it down, because something sticks out with the mastering that just doesn't sound right. I know my system is pretty good, but definitely not the last word in being resolved. Fast forward to today, I have have been streaming different genres, time periods, and formats i.e. FLAC, for several hours and I have not needed to turn the volume down. Everything played sounds great. Along with my system explained above, I have done room treatments, grounding blocks, updated my power supplies, done carbon stickers, among many other tweaks, all have had some level of positive impact on SQ, but nothing comes close to what I am experiencing. These four LL devises have been a revelation. I just placed an order for a set of Firewall for speakers, and I will continue down this path. Thank you team LessLoss for your hard work and bringing us products that truly make a difference.
